Welcome to the Spinal Unit

The Oxford Spine Unit is dedicated to the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of all types of spinal problems deriving from sports injuries, accidents, hereditary and developmental conditions, and all aspects of arthritis.

We review around 2000 cases each year and perform over 900 surgical procedures annually. We also have a spinal triage service run by a consultant physiotherapist and an extended scope physiotherapist. The triage team use a comprehensive range of assessments in the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of six consultants, specialist physiotherapy and occupational therapy practitioners, junior medical staff and nursing staff. The clinical team is backed-up behind-the-scenes by a dedicated administrative team.
