Private Health Care at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC)

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre NHS Trust (NOC) is a world-leading medical and research centre for the treatment of a wide range of disabling bone and joint (musculoskeletal) conditions and neurological disabilities. We also provide private healthcare.

All patients at our superb hospital receive top-level health care. However, as a private patient some of the additional benefits include:

  • Choice of specialist doctor or surgeon
  • Choice of admission date
  • Choice of surgery date
  • Preferential access to a single room*

Wherever possible we will provide your private care using facilities that are separated from NHS services. For some services however, this is not clinically desirable. Certain procedures or investigations requiring specific clinical expertise, or the use of highly specialist equipment, are best performed using staff or equipment shared by all patients. Examples where this is the case include access to the gym, hydro-pool and specialist imaging. Further information on General Terms and Conditions for Private and Self-Paying Patients is available for download in pdf format (pdf; 44KB).

For further information on access to Private Health Care at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre call Chris Allen on 01865 737579 or email him at chris.allen@noc.nhs.uk. Alternatively, email IndependentCare@noc.nhs.uk.

*We will always try to accommodate you but occasionally we may have to give priority to patients who, for medical reasons, may need a single room.

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre is registered with no conditions by the Care Quality Commission to provide health services. The Trust was registered in the Care Quality Commission’s first wave of licences in March 2010 as part of a new system for regulating standards in the NHS.
