Services Overview
We provide a wide range of services, but our specialities are in the following areas:
- Orthopaedic Surgery
The treatment of conditions of the muscles, tendons, joints, bones and nerves through surgery. This includes hip and knee replacements.
- Rheumatology
Rheumatology runs alongside orthopaedic surgery treating conditions using non-operative methods. The conditions treated are often related to disease, for example arthritis and osteoporosis.
- Disability Services
Our new Oxford Centre of Enablement provides a full range of disability services and has established us as a national leader in this field. The services work closely together to provide people with physical disabilities every opportunity possible to lead active and comfortable lives.
Rehabilitation
The Oxford Centre of Enablement also provides rehabilitation services which support the complex and specialist nature of our patients care. These services are provided by experienced physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses and clinical psychologists. - Metabolic Medicine
This type of medicine treats diseases by attempting to restore normal metabolism rather than by using man-made medicine.
- Research
Working in partnership with Oxford University we are very involved with pioneering research in musculo-skeletal disorders.
