Pain Management

Overview

Our job is to ensure that patients are kept as comfortable as possible during their hospital stay, especially following any surgery. We visit patients in the hospital if they are having problems with their pain control, or if they would like to discuss methods of pain management before their operation. We also pay routine visits to patients following their surgery.

Different strategies are used to control patients’ pain. These are based on individual needs, involving friends and family when appropriate, and liasing with other agencies if necessary.

Please note that we do NOT undertake Outpatient Clinic Appointments.

The Team

The team consists of:

  • 2 Consultant Anaesthetists
  • 2 Acute Pain Nurses
