Care Quality Commission Annual Inpatient Survey
The Care Quality Commission Annual Inpatient Survey provides valuable information on the experience of our patients. The results show that patients appreciate the efforts and excellence of our staff, with the NOC coming top among Trusts in the South Central region.
Results of 2010 survey
A major survey of NHS hospital inpatients has demonstrated that the NOC continues to score above the national average levels of patient satisfaction. Nearly 90% of patients receiving treatment at the NOC have rated their care as excellent or very good. View results here.
The national patient survey published in April 2011 placed the NOC in the top 20% of hospital trusts rated as significantly better than avergae on a majority of areas.
Just under 600 NOC patients completed the NHS Inpatient Survey which was distributed nationally to patients in the autumn of 2010 following their treatment. The response rate was 68% against a national average of 50%.
The NOC's top scores included :
- 86% rated the overall care they received as excellent or very good (national average: 79%)
- 86%said they were always treated with dignity and respect (national average: 81%)
- 93% of patients had confidence and trust in the doctors that were treating them.
Trust Chief Executive Jan Fowler said: "These are excellent results which demonstrate that we are improving quality of service to patients each year and in many areas we were given the highest possible rating."
